The Pivot Grid is a standalone component used within a dashboard. To add this component, go to Application, Workspaces, select the components node, and click the Create Dashboard Component button.
General (Component)
Name
The name of the component.
Description
A description of the component.
Workspace and Maintenance Unit
The Workspaces containing the Maintenance Unit to which the component belongs.
Component Type
The type of component used in the dashboard.
Pivot Grid
Show Toggle Size Button
Select True to enable the toggle button and allow users to toggle the size of the component at runtime. Select False to hide the toggle button.
Row Fields
Enter a comma-separated list of column names from the results table to place in the pivot grid row area by default.
Column Fields
Enter a comma separated list of column names from the results table to place in the Pivot Grid column area by default.
Data Fields
Assign a measure from the results table as the default measure. To add multiple measures, separate column names with a comma.
Field Groups
A comma-separated list of column names from the results table will group together as a default.
Save State
Save state enables the Save icon in the Pivot Grid when set to True and removes it when set to False.
NOTE: Using the Pivot Grid layout button when copying a dashboard that contains a Pivot Grid will save Pivot Grid component layouts per dashboard location, not by component. The next time each dashboard is run, the Pivot Grids should have different saved layouts.
Row and Column Fields
The row and column fields set a default Pivot Grid layout. Once the Pivot Grid is displayed, drag-and-drop any available dimensions to modify the layout. Click the Save button to retain the modified layout preference, overriding the default. Click theRestore button to return the Pivot Grid to the default layout established in Properties.
Default row, column, and data field assignments must reflect the source table column names which represent the dimension fields. Assign multiple dimensions with a comma separator.
Data Adapters
Data Adapters specify the data used for the dashboard within a Pivot Grid. Once you configure the Data Adapter to the appropriate data, attach it to the Pivot Grid component to display it in a dashboard. The Create Dashboard Data Adapter button 
creates the Data Adapter. Once the Data Adapter is made, click the plus icon 
in the toolbar to attach it to the component.
General Properties
Name
The name of the Data Adapter.
Description
A description of the Data Adapter.
Workspace
The workspace to which the Data Adapter belongs.
Maintenance Unit
The Maintenance Unit to which the Data Adapter belongs.
NOTE: When using a Cube View as the source for a Data Adapter, the Cube View MD Command Type is recommended for a simplified view of the data. See Data Adapters.
