Install Genesis

These are installation instructions to set up Genesis in an application that does not have it installed. To upgrade an existing installation, see Upgrade an Instance.

IMPORTANT: Loading a Genesis package or Workspace file into an application that already has a Workspace with the same name will result in overrides, which could render the Workspace unusable.

There are security requirements to install Genesis. See Solution Administration.

  1. Go to OneStream Solution Exchange.

  2. Click Collections.

    In Solution Exchange, the menu at the top includes a house icon for the Home page and text for Platform, Solutions, and Collections pages. Collections is highlighted.

  3. In the Genesis tile, click the Learn More button.

    Genesis tile includes an icon of a pie chart, bar graph, and line graph and a description of Genesis. Learn More button in the lower right is a rectangle with a blue background and white text.

  4. On the Genesis page, in the Download Details drop-down menus, select the appropriate platform version and the most recent Genesis version.

  5. Click the Download button to download the Genesis solution.

    Download Details is the heading. Below are an icon of a monitor, a drop-down menu for the platform version, a drop-down menu for the Genesis version, and a Download button that is a square with a blue background and white text.

  6. Log in to OneStream.

  7. On the Application tab, go to Tools > Load/Extract.

  8. On the Load tab, use the Select File buttons to locate the solution package.

  9. Click Open.

  10. Click OK to complete the installation.
