Pivot Grid Overview
The Pivot Grid dashboard component creates a pivot table that performs multi-dimensional analysis with data drawn from new and existing Data Adapters. It handles much larger data sets than standard adapter-based pivot grids, using all table contents from the data adapter that is returned to the client machine.
The Pivot Grid component improves data analysis through its expanded functionality, enabling you to:
-
Summarize data.
-
Customize report layout at runtime to meet analysis requirements with drag-and-drop operations and conditional formatting.
-
Use paging controls for efficient pivoting.
-
Add and display calculated text and decimal fields in cross-tabular format.
-
Sort, group, format, and filter calculated fields.
-
Drill down to view underlying Data Adapter results table.
-
Print resulting outputs or export to various file formats.
Conditional formatting enables customization of cells according to specific conditions to further analyze data, such as changes to the Pivot Grid to control the appearances of cells based on cell data or an expression. This feature can highlight important information, identify trends and exceptions, or compare data using the collection of format rules. The Pivot Grid layout is customizable, enabling changes to field layout, measure, and addition of calculated items or groups.
NOTE: Save the pivot grid at runtime as you make changes. You can restore original component settings as needed.
NOTE: At runtime you can print or export data displayed within the Pivot Grid. Data can export from a Pivot Grid to file formats such as PDF, XLS and XLSX.
