Cubes

Cubes are multidimensional organizational structures that contain data for reporting and analysis. A Cube structure is formed through metadata defined as Cube Dimensions. It consists of 18 Dimensions that are shaped and structured through Extensible Dimensionality. This allows for it to store, calculate, translate, and consolidate data.

It is flexible, designed for specific purposes, and data types in an OneStream application. They are used to store data for reporting purposes and to leverage metadata structures through Dimensions within a BI Blend process.

Applications can have multiple Cubes that assist in overall performance and reporting efficiencies. Each can be unique or share similar characteristics. Cubes are created under Application > Cube > Cubes and are setup and controlled within the Cube profile.
